Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 January 2025. We believe privacy should be simple, not buried in legalese.

What we collect

When you create an account: email address and password (hashed). When you use the Service: files you upload for conversion, conversion job metadata (format, file size, duration), and basic usage logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). We do not collect payment details directly — payments are processed by Stripe.

How we use your data

To provide the conversion service. To send transactional emails (conversion complete, account notices). To improve the service (aggregated, anonymised usage statistics). We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (cloud infrastructure providers under DPA agreements).

Your uploaded files

Files are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Conversion runs in isolated containers with no persistent access to file content. Files are automatically deleted on schedule — 24 hours (Free), 7 days (Pro), 30 days (Enterprise). You can delete files immediately from your dashboard.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, object to processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, email privacy@quickconvert.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (opt-in only) to understand usage patterns. See our Cookie Policy for details.
